Dies at Hospital

William H. Adams, Cummins Engine company supervisor residing at 3107 Sixteenth street, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bartholomew county hospital. He had suffered a heart attack a week ago.

Mr. Adams, 53, was born in Jackson county May 27, 1911, the son of John H. and Sarah Welch Adams. On Aug. 9, 1930, he married the former Miss Freeda Wilber, who survives. He had been associated with Cummins Engine company for 23 years, and was supervisor of the injector department. He was a member of the East Columbus Methodist church.

He is also survived by his mother, who with a sister, Miss Mildred Adams, lives at 1952 Wallace avenue; a son, Robert H. Adams of 2764 Thirty-first street; two daughters, Mrs. Allan Wilson of Spiceland and Mrs. Larry Louden of 3117 Fourteenth street; another sister, Mrs. Robert Heitz of 2042 Wallace avenue; and four grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the East Columbus Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Buell Dalton and the Rev. Gilbert Curry. Burial will be at Springer cemetery. Persons may call at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday and at the church after noon Saturday.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers memorials be in the forms of contributions to the East Columbus Methodist church or the Heart fund.
