LODI, Sept. 7 - Mrs. Hertha West, 69, a Lodi resident during the 1930s, died Sunday in her home in Mill Valley, where funeral services will be held tomorrow.
Mrs. West was a nurse at Dameron Hospital in Stockton before moving to Mill Valley in 1945. During World War II she worked in a hospital in Honoluly, Hawaii. She later managed a rest home in Sausalito.
She is survived by eight sisters, including Selma Baerwald of Stockton and Ella Peterson, Alma Nystrom, and Rosamond Boecher, all of Lodi; and two brothers, include Al Baerwald of Lodi.
Final rites will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church of Mill Valley.
