Gordon Barrett
Funeral services for Gordon C. Barrett, 75, of Chester, formerly of Hopkins County, were held Wednesday in the Chester Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Wednesday in Restlawn Memorial Park, Sulphur Springs.
Mr. Barrett died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the family residence.
He was born July 30, 1910, in Hopkins County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Barrett. He was a retired paint contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Myra Barrett of Chester; two sons, Gordon Wayne Barrett and Sam Lee Barrett, both of Alvin; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister; Clara Hicks of Bridgeport.
Tapp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
