Florence L. Stapp, 83, Greensburg, died Sunday, November 3, 2002, 9:05 a.m. at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born, May 19, 1919 in Columbus, Indiana, she was the daughter of William and Grace Stafford (Amsden) Romine.
She was married to John D. Stapp on August 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1995. She was a former employee at Cummins Engine in Columbus, Mallory Electric in Columbus and Bohn Aluminum in Greensburg. She is survived by 3 sons, Jerry E. Chandler, Lafayette, In., Ronald Chandler, Greensburg, John D. Stapp, Greensburg; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
Internment will be at the Union Baptist Cemetery in Decatur County, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Decatur County Hospice and Alzheimer's Association.
