According to "Six Afflerbach Emigrants Who Came To Pennsylvania And Their Descendants" by J. K. Thompson (2009), Abraham was the son of Henry Applebach and Mary Stehr (sometimes called Catherine Stahr/Stehr in various records). According to his death certificate, he was the son of Henry Applebach and Catherine Stahr. Known children of this union: Louisa (1841-1853), William (1843 - ?), Catharine (1845 - ?, married Rice), Sarah 1847 - ?, married Dreamer), and Abraham.

Per the 1860 Census, he is listed as age 10 and living with Samuel and Harriet Miltenburger (innkeepers) in Tunkhanrock Township in Monroe County, PA.

Per the 1870 Census, he is listed as age 22 and living with Sam and Catherine Shimer (farmer) in Bethlehem Township in Northampton County, PA.

Abraham married Elizabeth Little Dec. 12, 1872 in Lancaster per the proxy marriage sealing of the LDS. The five children I know of are: John William, Sherman, Winfield Scott, Zachary Taylor, and Bessie.
