Alice D. "Lois" Dalton of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, January 13, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on August 26, 1943, in Sneedville, TN, she was the daughter of Anderson and Callie (Gibson) Bell. She married Harry "Gene" Dalton on Jun 7, 1965, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are one son, Michael Alan Dalton of Mitchell, IN; two daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Guthrie of Mitchell, IN, and Teresa Dalton of Trinity Springs, IN; two step-sons, Robert "Bobby" Dalton and Steve Dalton, both of Bedford, IN; one step-daughter, Christie Crider of Sneedville, TN; five sisters: Mattie Mills and Mabel Turpin, both of Sneedville, TN, Barbara Terrell of Mitchell, IN, Elizabeth "Libby" Allman of Medora, IN, and Susie Willis of Norman, IN; one brother, Arnold Bell of Mitchell, IN; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Bell; and one sister, Marvin Bell.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Englewood Baptist Church.

Services for Alice Dalton will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Kenny Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnelton Cemetery.
