Alanson Hosford, a well-known and highly respected resident of Athens, died at his home in the upper village Wednesday, after a an illness of several weeks. Mr. Hosford was born in Athens 63 years ago and had spent his life there. He is survived by his wife and four sons, William, Edward, Robert and Frederick. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Another son, Frederick, was born Dec. 17, 1884 and died Dec. 29, 1958 in Connecticut. His wife was Edna Martia Proper.
