COUNTY PIONEER PASSES TUES.

Jesse Allen Bradshaw. 63 year-old pioneer of Wheeler, passed at the home of his son Charley Bradshaw here Tuesday evening. Mr. Bradshaw’s health had been failing the past few years but he had not been seriously ill, in fact he had just returned from a vacation trip a few days ago.

Funeral services for the beloved old gentleman who had lived around Wheeler for 31 years were held from the Church of Christ here at 3:00 o'clock this afternoon, Thursday, with B.M. Litton, minister in charge.

Mr. Bradshaw was born in Denton County, Texas on January 16 1882 and died in Wheeler September 30, 1947 at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 14 days. Mr. Bradshaw came to Wheeler County 31 years ago with his family to make his home and since that time has been engaged in farming.

Besides his relatives, Mr. Bradshaw leaves a host of friends and neighbors to mourn his passing. Mrs. Bradshaw passed away a number of years ago.

Survivors include: one son, Charley of Wheeler; four daughters, Mrs. O.W. Pendleton, Mrs. Otis Reid and Mrs. Owen Jones all of Wheeler: one half brother C.A. Marlow of Eugene Oregon, nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers included: Wayne Patterson, Lowell Pendleton, Carroll Pendleton, Olin Pendleton Jr., Nile Patterson and Fred Cole.

Flower girls for the occasion were: Gwene Patterson, Polly Patterson, Jody Reid, Winnie Reid, Beverly Bradshaw, Ruby Patterson, Wilma Patterson, Delores Pendleton and Floy Patterson.

Interment was in the Wheeler cemetery with Hunt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
