Clint was the son of John W. Breeden and Cordelia Rowden. He was born in rural Maries Co., Missouri and was the 9th of 12 children in this family.

He served as Post Master for Cookville in Pulaski Co., Missouri from Dec. 10, 1906 to Jan. 29, 1914. In his WWI Draft Registration Card, his name was given as Louis Clinton Breeden. He lived in Bloodland, Pulaski Co., Missouri, with his wife, Camelia. He worked as a farmer. The card was dated 9/12/1918.

Lewis Clinton Breeden, son of John W. and Cordelia Breeden, was born in Maries County, May 1st, 1882 and departed this life April 24, 1948 at his home near Waynesville, Missouri, being at the time of his death 65 years, 11months and 24 days of age.

He moved near Cookville, Missouri with his parents at the age of 8, where he grew to manhood and was united in marriage June 21, 1905 to Camelia Madden. To this union three children were born; Ralph K. Breeden, Virginia Atterberry and Lura Bacon all of Waynesville, Missouri. He was converted and united with the Pisgah Baptist Church, later moving his letter to Mt. Gibson Church where he remained a faithful member until death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, Roy Lee and Camelia Atterberry, Loene, Frank, Knowlton and Richard Breeden. Also two sisters, Roberta Skidmore of Springfield, Missouri, Livella Singleton of Lebanon, Missouri, and two brothers, Joe of Kansas City, George of Texas and a host of other relatives and friends..."

An alternate marriage date of June 21, 1905 is given in the notes of the Rev. J. J. Watt's collection.
