Born May 9, 1928, in Galesburg to L. Thomas and Marion Maranville Clary, he married Frances Jean Oakes on May 9, 1950, in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James of Lee Summit, Mo., and Andrew of Houston; four daughters, Jane Hutchins of Normal, Marjorie Clary and Laura Clary, both of Bloomington, and Mrs. Max (Mary Kay) Crawford of Creston, Iowa; and one sister, Patricia Miller of Dahinda. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Wayne Clary, and two brothers.
An employee of General Electric in Bloomington for 40 years, he retired in 1988. He was a member of the General Electric Elfun Society, the Loyal Order of Moose and McLean County Senior Golf Association.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Galesburg.
