Harry Forrest was the son of Polk Forrest and Mary Thompson. His parents left MO in about 1892 and were in Colusa CA by the early 1900s. Harry and his wife Grace E. Pearce had two children: Harry and Leona.

Harry and his son Harry Jr. owned the Chrysler-Plymouth dealership and garage in Gustine for more than 50 years.
