JOHN WILLIAM BAILEY

John William Bailey was born April 9, 1876 in Arkansas to Thomas S. Franklin Bailey and Sarah E. Smith. He died December 30, 1945 in a hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.

John had one whole sister, Annie Elizabeth Bailey who married twice. She lived most or her life in Nevada County, Arkansas. She raised a very large family!

John's dad is buried in Summerfield, Louisiana and his mother is buried in Arkansas.

John's father remarried after the death of his mother in Columbia County, Arkansas to Rebecka Clark Dees. John and Rebecka raised a large family.

John married Alice Bell Wise December 15, 1897 in Webster Parish, Louisiana. From this union the following children were born: Chester A., Walter Franklin, Cecil Brooks, John W., James Austin, Irene Estelle, O.J., Myrtle Louise, Bennett Smith, and Howard Burns Bailey.

John was a farmer and owned property in North Webster Parish. John and Alice attended church at Pilgrims Rest Church in Shongaloo, Louisiana.
