"Mrs. Curry Dies At Family Home Here Yesterday

Well Known Lady Passes Away, Victim of Cancer From Which She Had Suffered for Long Time.

Mrs. Harriett Abbie Curry, wife of John Curry and one of the best known and loved women of the city, died at the family home, 809 Locust street, at 6:15 last evening [February 15], death being the result of cancer and coming after long suffering. She had been ailing for a number of years and had twice submitted to operations for the removal of the growth, but the relief was not permanent.

Born At Oakfield.

Deceased was the daughter of the late I[saac] P[eter] Hallock [Jr.] and wife [Malinda Ann Norton], and was born on the Hallock home place at Oakfield [Audubon County, Iowa] on the 23rd of August, 1868.

She was married to John Curry on the 25th of November 1890 and they have made their home in this city since. Besides her sorrowing husband she leaves two children, Ralph and Miss Mary at home, and two brothers, Percy Hallock and Keyes Hallock of Audubon county.

Funeral Saturday.

The deceased was a member of the M.E. church and the funeral services will be held at that church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon [February 18], the Rev. F.W. Simpson officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic cemetery. The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved ones in their hour of trouble." END
