MACON - Phyllis Ward Murphy, 65, of Macon, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22, 2009.

Funeral Services will be held at 2P.M., Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Northway Church, formerly Vineville North, with Pastor Kevin Mills officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northway Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy, a lifelong resident of Macon, was a member of Northway Church. A devoted Christian, Mrs. Murphy was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, painting and music. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was known to all of them as Muffin.

She was predeceased by her father, Ardell Ward.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jon Murphy of Macon; three children, Todd Murphy (Christi) of Lizella, Tara Murphy Reeves (Michael) of Woodstock, and Trey Murphy (Dana) of Statesboro; five grandchildren, London and Murphy Reeves, Case and Cole Murphy, and Raines Murphy; mother, Ontee Ward of Macon; brother, Nathan Ward, Jr. (Becky) of Lizella; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
