Lee A. Stoner Sr., 70, of 727 S. Grand St., Lewistown, died at 6:10 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2009, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1938, in Mifflintown, he was the son of the late John E. Stoner Sr. and Virginia (Horning) Stoner. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Ernest) Stoner whom he married on April 29, 1961.
Also surviving: children, Lee A. Stoner Jr., of Lewistown, Anthony D. "Tony" Stoner and his companion, Tina White, of Lewistown and Lisa C. Bollman and her husband, Randy, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Anthony Kratzer, Kyle, Joshua, Bethany, Marc, Lydia and Allan Stoner and Tiffany Bollman, and nine great- grandchildren.
He is also survived by: a brother, John E. Stoner Jr., of Florida.
He also leaves behind his beloved dog Peppy and two cats.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter H. Stoner Sr.; and a grandson, Joseph Stoner.
Early in life, he was employed at Dick John Ford in Lewistown, Reeder's Service Center, Noerr's Motor Freight, Treaster's Exxon and Lash Motors.
He was owner-operator of Lee's Service Center in Lewistown.
His last employment was at Mann Edge Tool for 18 years, retiring due to disability in 1992.
He was a member of the Old Fashion Baptist Church in Lewistown.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, Port Royal races, football and animals.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown, PA.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main Street, Lewistown.
