Died, At her home three miles south of Soldier, Kansas, on Tuesday, March 10th, 1891, Mary Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Francis, aged 71 years, 1 month and 8 days. The deceased was born in Virginia in 1820 and moved to Ohio while a child, her maiden name was Wilkins. She was married in Ohio on February 14th, 1840., to Joseph Francis, who survives her .... She was the mother of ten children, several of whom are living and among our best and most respected citizens. Wednesday the remains were laid to rest in the Soldier cemetery ..

She was married to Joseph Francis on January 14, 1840 .... with her husband, came to Kansas in the spring of 1871, and located at her late residence, four miles south of Soldier. She was the mother of ten children, six of whom survive her ....
