Hiram William Clark was the son of Edward Alonzo & Cecilia Lane (Oakley) Clark. He married Marie McGregor, daughter of Joseph Franklin & Lena Isabella Durham McGregor, on May 21, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of two daughter, Betty & Elaine.

Rites Set for Former Instructor at U. of U.

Graveside funeral services for Hiram William Clark, 46, of Denver, Colo., former mechanical engineering instructor at the University of Utah, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the City cemetery.

Mr. Clark died Tuesday in a Denver hospital following an appendectomy.

A native of Springville, Mr. Clark was born March 24, 1893, a son of WIlliam and Cecillia Lane Clark. He was graduated from the University of Utah and taught there two years. HE was one of the first Salt Lakers to attempt to carry smoke abatement work into the residential district. Mr. Clark and his family moved to Denver about 10 years ago.
