Angus MacCallum dies Monday
Angus MacCallum, 73, of Ubly died Monday, April 29, at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw after a short illness.
He was born May 3, 1911, in Sheridan Township, Huron County, the son of Neil and Almedia (Watson) MacCallum.
MacCallum, a lifelong resident of Sheridan Township, was married to Mrs. Lena Schneider Volz Oct. 29, 1977, in Sebewaing.
He was a member of Fraser United Presbyterian Church and had served on the Board of Elders.
He is survived by his wife, Lena; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Marilyn Sylvester of Caro; three stepsons, Melvin Volz, Wallace Volz and Dale Volz, all of Sebewaing; one step-granddaughter, Marlene Sylvester of Caro; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anna MacCallum of Cass City and Mrs. Marjorie MacCallum of Ferndale; three nieces and two nephews. Two brothers, William and Malcolm, and two sisters, Effie and Mary, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p. m. from Little's Funeral Home, Cass City, with Rev. Robert Von Oeyen of Harbor Beach officiating.
Burial will be in Erskin Cemetery, Sheridan Township.
