William C. Joyner native of Forest Miss., and resident of 47 years in Tucson, Arizona. Passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margarette Smith Joyner and his sisters, Allene Vann, of Alabama and Elsie Weems of Lake, Miss.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter, William C. Joyner, Jr., Jeffrey W. Joyner and Donna Lee Joyner and their children, Cindy Barrett, Kipper Joyner, Jason, Jennifer and James Joyner and daughter-in-law, Claire Jean Wrye. Elsie's children, Mary Ene Vance, Will Joyner Weems, David Weems, Sondra Weems; numerous great-grandchildren and special friends and caregivers, Angelita and Raul Figueroa.

William served in the National Guard, U.S Army and U.S. Border Patrol, where he gave 33 years of service. He is well known for his expert marksmanship while on the Border Patrol Pistol Team.

Graveside Service will be held at East Lawn Cemetery on East Grant Rd., at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Please call 461-8505 for information.
