Mr. Agnew had been in failing health for the past year. He was admitted to the hospital a few hours before his death.
Before moving to Adrian 13 years ago, Mr. Agnew lived in rural Hillsdale County. He was born in Amboy Township, March 9, 1887, the son of Frank and Mary Bohner Agnew.
Mr. Agnew married Opal P. Nevins of Frontier, in September of 1907. She survives.
Other survivors besides the wife, are four daughters, Mrs. George Watson of Ridgeway, Mrs. Roy Robertson of near Camden, Mrs. George Hager, Sr., and Mrs. Roy Sharp, both of Adrian; three sons, Gerold of Camden, Donald of Hillsdale and Victor of Adrian; one sister, Mrs. Flora Austin of Morenci; one brother, John of Bay City, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Braun Funeral Home in Adrian. Burial will be in the Frontier Cemetery.
