Mrs. Forrester passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at her home in Inola at the age of 81.
The daughter of Jim C. and Laura Jenkins Williams was born April 15, 1923 in Reuter, Missouri. It was there that she met Byron Forrester. They were married June 21, 1940. The made their home in Reuter and started their family. A few years later Byron was called to serve his country, leaving Myrtle to care for their home and two children. After Byron's return home they traveled working in several states before settling in Oklahoma. They lived in Tulsa before moving to Inola. Myrtle's hobbies included making ceramics, porcelain dolls, and fishing. She always loved to fish especially with her fishing buddy Byron. She loved her family, and always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jerry L. Forrester; sister, Virgie Clausen, and brothers, M.C. Williams and Jack Williams.
Survivors include her husband Byron of the home; son Jim and wife Etta Forrester of Inola; Daughters, Judy Forrester, and Myrna and husband Danny Dawson of Beggs; sisters, Mildred Rozell of Nixa, MO, and Maxine McPherson of Okmulgee; brother, Dean Williams of Springfield, MO; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
