Spouse: Bertha Blanche RileySELBYSPORT, Md., Feb. 23 - Charles C. Fike, whose serious illness was reported in these columns last week from a stroke of paralysis and other ailments, quietly passed to the beyond on Thursday, February 19th. He was aged 68 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was married to Bertha Blanche Riley, Sept. 11, 1891. To them 12 children were born, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Fike and the
following children survive: Mrs. Margaret Huff, Ursina, Pa.; Mrs. Orpha Frazee, Selbysport; Mrs. Vespa Thomas, Laughlintown, Pa.; Mrs.Nan Thomas and Mrs. Chloe Griffith, Guard, Md.; Mrs. Emma Hinebaugh, Friendsville; Ralph Fike, Selbysport; Allen, Russel and Twile Fike at home; also a brother, Thomas Fike, Friendsville, and a sister, Nancy Guard, Guard, Md., and 15 grandchildren.
Mr. Fike was a member of the M.E. Church South in Mill Run, from boyhood, but later transferred his membership to the M.E. Church here, where he always attended services and was Sunday School superintendent for the last 11 years.
He served as rural mail carrier on Route 1, Selbysport, from the time of its beginning up to his retirement four years ago.
The pall-bearers were Ernest Selby, Earl Bowser, Fred Humberston, Frank Lowdermilk, Albert Frazee and Martin Frazee. Among those who attended the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. ? Riley and sons, Dale and Bob,Gray, Pa.; Mrs. Edna Riley, Sha?; Mrs. Ruth Riley Lohr, Somerset; Mrs. Mattie Boyer, Belle Vernon, Pa.; Floyd Riley, Oakland, Md.; Thomas Fike, Friendsville.

Fike ( A single 24 year white Man; occupation farmer) was married to Clara May Guard ( a single white 19 year white woman; a spinster) on 22 July 1886 at Grantsville, G Co, MD by J. G. Bruninger....... Clara M is buried in the Mill Run Church Cemetery.......added July 2016 by TRG
