DEATH OF AN AGED CITIZEN. Hugh LAUGHLIN was born Mar. 25, 1804, in Westmoreland County, Penn.. Moved to Erie County, Penn., in 1807, with his father, where he grew to manhood. It was at this place he met and married Miss Mary GEORGE. In 1854 they emigrated to Iowa.
Nine children -- James of Libertyville, Mrs. Martha TROUT and Mrs. Margaret TROUT also of Libertyville; W. G. LAUGHLIN and Mrs. Samuel CREEK of Doud Station; Mrs. Henry BYERS of Kansas; J.R. of Libertyville; John who died in Sept., 1861, in defense of his country, a member of the Second Iowa Infantry (?), and S.C. LAUGHLIN of Libertyville.... Wife died 15 Dec. 1867 (?).
Mr. LAUGHLIN's second marriage in 1872 to Mrs. Mary CAMPBELL. Of this union four children: Hugh, now of Kirksville, Mo.; Sarren and Charles, who died in childhood, and Adam, at home yet with his mother. Mr. LAUGHLIN lacked five days of being 94 years old. Fell Cemetery.
