Lavaun M.(Bricker) Long, 85 a Carl Junction, Missouri lifetime resident, died 3:50 A.M. Monday, May 30, 2005 at a hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Long was born Aug 27, 1919 in Lawton, Kansas to George Irwin and Myrtle Roberts Irwin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction; she was a homemaker and a cook at Carl Junction Public Schools. She married James(Bob) Bricker, Carthage, MO, on Dec 24, 1937 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Robert Bricker, Carthage; a daughter, Donna Martin, Joplin; a brother, Melvin Irwin, Lawton, KS.; three grandchildrren and four great grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at the Simpson Funeral Home, Carl Junction. The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Children's Miracle Network.
