Mr. Irwin was born Aug 17, 1915, near Waco, Missouri, and lived in the Lawton Community most of his life. He moved to Columbus three years ago. He retired from Rex Nord Machine Shop, Joplin, Missouri, where he was a machinist. He married Blanche Garrison on Nov. 16, 1935, in Joplin, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Velda Morrison, Lawton, KS; a brother Melvin Irwin, Pittsburg route 5; a sister, Lavaun Long, Carl Junction, MO.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Carl Junction Cemetery, with H. Lee Williams, minister, officiating. Pallbearers will be Granville Irwin, Bob Stehl, Dan Irwin, Bob Bricker, Garold Irwin, Robert York, Tom Lee, and Gerald Irwin.
