1900 Federal Census states that Isaac was born in Indiana. Possibly Blackford or Wells County. Isaac married Mary Catherine Ortman on February 20, 1869 and moved to Iowa in the fall of 1869. They moved to Shelby County, settling at Dexter and later moved to Danbury, Iowa in 1884. Isaac was a farm laborer and shelled corn. He invented the power unit used on horse powered corn shellers. Isaac was a lay minister of the Free Methodist Church.
