Donald Lee Callahan

Age 75, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Don served in the US Marine Corp. and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Atlantic Aviation for 38 years and retired as a special projects supervisor. Don enjoyed playing golf. He was a long time coach for the Suburban Little League during the 70's and 80's. Don was a member of the Mulrooney's Notre Dame Club of Elsmere, Stahl Post 30 American Legion, and Defiance Club. Don is the son of the late Fred and Sarah (Warner) Callahan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Miller) Callahan; his sister, Anna Mary Callahan; and his brother, James Callahan. Don is survived by his sons, Patrick, and his wife, Judy, Paul, and his wife, Lisa; and Stephen, and his wife, Phila; his grand-children, Ashley and Alexa; his brothers, William, and Paul; and his sister, Patricia Sianni.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Catholic Memorial Service at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Thursday, April 16, at 7 pm. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 pm, on Thursday evening. Interment will be private in Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Road, Newark, DE 19711.
