Mrs. Cleda BALDWIN, 52, 517 Fulton avenue, died Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. in Memorial hospital at Logansport, where she had been a patient since May 17. Death was attributed to multiple carcinoma and came after a six-month illness that was serious for seven weeks. Born Nov. 27, 1910, at McPherson, Kan., she was the daughter of William and Minnie DeARMENT THOMAS and had resided in Rochester 34 years, coming here from Peru. She was married Jan. 12, 1929, at South Bend, to John D. BALDWIN, who for 35 years has been employed in The Sentinel's mechanical department. Mrs Baldwin was a member of the United Presbyterian church here, of the Women's Benefit Association, the American Legion Auxiliary and was a graduate of Peru high school. Surviving, besides the husband, are her father, William THOMAS, of Rochester; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Janet) BRUBAKER, Logansport; two grandchildren, Dan and Debra BRUBAKER, Logansport; one brother, Cecil THOMAS, Rochester, and one sister, Mrs. Minta FORD, Rochester. A son and a daughter preceded in death. Last rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. James SCHUMACHER officiating. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
