He leaves behind his precious wife, Norma, of 53 years (he devoted his last 13 years to caring for her in her battle with Alzheimer's); his dear son, Mike, wife, Pam, and their children, cherished grandsons, Tyler and Sean Breum; his adored son, Pastor Terry, wife, Janet, and their children, beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Carrie, Bethany, and John Breum; loving daughter, Cheryl, husband, Tom, and their children, special granddaughters, Amy and Sara Schlicker; brother, Ray (Ardlyn) Breum; sister, Catherine Storaasli; sisters-in-law, Karen (Jack, Jackie, and Joel) Carlson, and Gail (Ben) Brower; two beloved aunts, Dorothy (Lee) Bloom, and Helen Johnston; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends ,whom he loved very much; including Caesar and Patty Ann Smith, Glen Johnson, and all of TCHS, especially the class of '50.
Preceding Lawrence in death were his wonderful parents, Sophie and John Breum; and all their brothers and sisters.
Lawrence was a Dentist in Everett, for 44 years and dearly loved all his patients.
After Uncle Bjarne Sande's untimely death in 1967, Dad took over The Farm where he would go to "relax" and work very hard on the days away from his practice. Dad was an avid sports fan, always with tickets to give away, but his favorite sporting events were anything having to do with Stanwood High School basketball or football teams. One of his favorite activities was eating lunch at the Cookie Mill and talking with his many friends.
Services will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Stanwood, with a fellowship luncheon to follow. Graveside committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Cemetery, Stanwood. Viewing will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Monday, at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
Memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Building Fund, Cemetery Endowment Fund, Josephine Sunset Home, or any other Christian Organization.
