Agnes M. Grantham, 92, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge & Elder Jerry Barrs officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Saturday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Grantham was born March 13, 1913, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Walton and Delilah Harper Mixon. She lived in the community since 1946. Mrs. Grantham was a seamstress at Perfect Pants and at H.R. Kaminsky & Sons for thirty-eight years. She was a member of the Fitzgerald Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Grantham is survived by two daughters; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton "Shorty" Grantham, three brothers and one sister.
