Nelson Vincent Sheldon, age 84 passed away about noon Sunday in a nursing home in Kansas City, after a long illness. The body was brought that afternoon to the Crunk Funeral Home here.
Mr. Sheldon, a native of Iowa, came to Cameron in 1909 from Washington State, as a minister of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, and later engaged in farming.
His wife passed away in January 1946, and surviving are his children, Sylvester, Long Beach, California; Wardell Englewood, California; Mrs. William F. Goddard, Eugene, Oregon; Ninus W. Sheldon, Kansas City; and Mrs. Darrell Fiddick, Cameron. There is also a half sister, Mrs. G. D. Bannister, of Cherokee, Iowa surviving Mr. Sheldon.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the R.L.D.S. Church here conducted by Elder Orman Salisbury of St. Joseph. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery by the side of the wife.
