W. T. Sheldon, 85, died at the Twin Falls County General Hospital at 3:40 a.m., Wednesday. He was born in Clinton County, Ia., on Feb. 4, 1862, and lived in Iowa until his twentieth year when he moved to Ellensburg, Wash. In 1912 he moved with his family to a farm southwest of Filer. He also farmed extensively in Emmett, Jerome, and Wendell. At the time of his death, he had his residence at 343 Third Avenue West.
On Sept 9, 1882, he married Elizabeth Viola Hayes in Sarpee County, Nebr. He was a life-long member of the Reorganized Church of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Villa McMahan, Grandview, Wash.; Mrs. Clara Hoehn and Mrs. Dorcas Peck, both of Twin Falls; three sons, Milo F. Sheldon, Kirkland, Wash.; Iram S. Sheldon, Buhl, and Howard M. Sheldon, Pattonsburg, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister live in Iowa, and a brother lives in California. One son, Dr. Willard B. Sheldon, Buhl, precede him in death.
Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives. Meanwhile the body rests at the White Mortuary.
