Mrs. Schwake

Mrs. Lydia Schwake, 71, 2206 Scott Blvd., died at 1:55 a. m. friday in a Temple hospital after a long illness.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. w. A. Muller officiating. Burial will be in Terry's Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Schwake was born Jan. 25, 1895 in Brenham. She lived in Bell County most of her life. She was married to William Schwake in 1913. Mr. Schwake died July 30, 1966. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Laverne Boehme and Mrs. Claude Isaacks, both of Temple. Mrs. Emilie Kelley of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Lydia Anno of Canada: seven sons, Harold Schwake and Verlin (Shorty) Schwake, all of San Antonio, William Schwake of Longview and Edwin Schwake of Wisconsin: four sisters, Mrs. Ed walker, both of Salado, Mrs. Fred Hess of Belton and Mrs. Hugo Raabe of Holland: four brothers, Robert Grimm of Bartlett, Anton Grimm of Belton, Richard Grimm of Ballinger and Lee Grimm of Salado: and 33 grandchildren.A son, Alvin Schwake, died in 1934, and another, Lonnie Schwake, in 1938.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Gilbert schwake, Slayfield Schwake, Raymond Schwake, Leroy Schwake, Donald Goodnight and Claude Hess.

The family will be at the home of Mrs Laverne Boehme, 1610 Lenwood road, Temple.
The body will be at Hewett Funeral Home until an hour before time of services.
Throughout their married lives, they lived in Brady, Salado, and Barclay, Texas.

1910 census, Lydia (Littie) was 15 years of age and had ten brothers and sisters. The Grimm-Haas family were living in Justice Precinct 2, Bell County, Texas.

1920 Census, Lydia had left home and was married to William Schwake. They were living in Granado, Jackson County, Texas. They had three children and Williams mother living with them.

1930 Census, they lived north of Brady, west of Salado, Texas. They now had eight children at home.

1940 Census, William and Lydia living just north of Salado, Bell County, Texas and had ten children.
