Richard H. Grimm, 80, of Clyde, a retired farmer died at 8:10 p. m. Thursday in Callahan General Hospital in Baird after a long illness. Services were at 1"30 p. m. Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home.
The Rev. W. E. Nowell officiated. Burial was in old Runnels Cemetery in Runnels County.
Born Aug. 3, 1901, in Brenham, he married Margaret White July 29, 1923, in Bell County. He had lived in Bell and Runnels counties before moving to Clyde in 1967. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviors include his wife; a son, Floyd Grimm of Abliene; four sisters, Mrs. Nita Hess and Mrs. Lemmie Walker, both of Belton, Mrs. Lillie Babbe of Dallas and Mrs. Ester Reue of Salado; two brothers, Lee and Anton, both of Belton; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Wood, Buford Hailey, E. L. James, Neal Tedford, Raymond Prew and Arnold Rabbe.
Parents of Richard Hugo Grimm were Fred Grimm and Emily Haas Grimm. They were married 01/23/1884 Ferdinand Grimm married Amelia Haas in Austin County, Texas.
