Joseph Casterline. He was part of the New Jersey Militia in the Revolutionay War.

On May 16, 1772 he married Susannah Lyon (1751). They had 12 children:

They are buried in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rockaway, Morris, NJ.

After Susannah died Joseph married Peninah Searing on Mar. 24, 1799. Peninah's parent's were William and Peninah Searing. She was born on July 27, 1779 - Feb. 21, 1862. She was the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter and possessed great healing power by the "laying on" of hands.
