Dorothy L Mohnsam, 86, formerly of Sheboygan Falls and Cascade, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 17, 2002, at Meadow View Manor where she had been a resident since July.
Dorothy was born on June 18, 1916, in the Town of Mitchell, the daughter of the late George and Cecelia (Bartlett) Triphan.
On May 17, 1941, she married the late Edwin Mohnsam in the Town of Mitchell. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1993. Together with her husband, she operated a dairy farm in the Town of Sheboygan Falls for over 50 years.
Dorothy was a member of Zion Christian Assembly in Sheboygan.
She is survived by five daughters, Darlene (Charlie) Fizer of Asbury, Iowa, Carol Mohnsam of Sheboygan, Lucy (Wayne) Simonich of St. Charles, III., Linda (Pastor Sam Jr.) Felten of Eureka Springs, Ark., Brenda (Ken) Schultz of Cascade; two sons, Wayne (Rosemary) Mohnsam of Valders and David (Patti) Mohnsam of Sheboygan; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Olive Ardell and LaVerne Bonnett, both of Plymouth, Gloria (Willard) Kleinhans of Sheboygan Falls, and Margery (Wesley) Struebing; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Triphan of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Earl Triphan.
Funeral services will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Friday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sam Felten and Mr. Charlie Fizer officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls TONIGHT from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund is being established in her memory for New Tribes Missions.
