Mr. Mohnsam was born in the Town of Sheboygan Falls on Jan. 15, 1920, the son of the late Erwin and Cora Back Mohnsam. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1937. On May 17, 1941 he married Dorothy Triphan in the Town of Mitchell.
They farmed on their dairy farm for 50 years. He also was employed at the Kohler Co. from 1939 until 1943.
Edwin attended Zion Christian Assembly in Sheboygan.
Survivors Include his wife Dorothy; five daughters, Darlene (Charlie) Fizer of Asbury, Iowa; Carol Mohnsam of Sheboygan; Lucy (Wayne) Simonich of St. Charles, Ill., Linda (Pastor Sam) Felten of Monmouth, III.; and Brenda (Ken) Schultz of Waldo; two sons, Wayne Mohnsam of Kiel; and David (Patti) Mohnsam of Sheboygan; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Opt. 25, 1993) at 11:00 a.m. at the Huehns Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls, with Pastor Sam Felten Jr. and Charlie Fizer, officiating, Burial will be made In Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the Huehns Funeral Home on Sunday (Oct. 24, 1993) from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services on Monday.
A memorial fund will be established In his name for the New Tribes Mission and the Emmaus Correspondence School.
