Ulis "Jeff" Jefferson age 70 of Yellville, Arkansas passed away at his home on Thursday, April 9, 2009. Ulis was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on August 5, 1938. He was the son of the late Wallace & Delphia (Pierce) Jefferson. Jeff was a member of the Yellville First Baptist Church and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Jeff and his wife, Lela owned and operated the Hilltop Restaurant. Jeff married the former Lela Burgess on October 9, 1965.

Mr. Jefferson is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Justin Johnson, Corey Johnson, Jeffrey Hansen, Colby Harris, Logan Harris. He was preceded in death by his Parents and one son; Larry.
Visitation will be held at the Burns Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 6-8 pm. Services will be held at the Burns funeral Home on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., with Bro. Rick Pyron officiating. Interment will be in the Layton Cemetery in Yellville, Arkansas. Serving as pallbearers are Blaine McGaughey, Charles Jefferson, Daniel Hickey, Jearl Nichols, Colby Harris, Logan Harris.
