A. HORNBACK DIES AT FORSYTH//Was 85 Years Old and Had Been Ill Twelve Weeks.//Abraham Hornback died at 1:25 Saturday afternoon at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah McCay in Forsyth. He was eighty-five years old last February. Mr. Hornback had been ill twelve weeks and had been bedfast for seven weeks. His death was caused by a complication of diseases and the infirmities of age. He was a member of the Methodist Church and was widely known. Mr. Hornback was born February 5, 1833. He and Anna Margaret Gepford were married April 8, 1852, Fairview, Ill. They had lived at Forsyth for thirty-six years. Nine children were born to them, three of whom have died. The surviving children are William P. Hornback of Nampa, Idaho; J. F. Hornback of Holdridge, Neb.; Mrs. Sarah J. McCay of Forsyth, Emma Perry of Findlay, and Ella Larah of Thornton, Ind. He also leaves two brothers, Samuel Hornback of Athens, Ill., and John Hornback of Forsyth; also two sisters, Mrs. Jane Gepford of Oklahoma and Margaret Houser of Green county, Kansas. There are twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 8 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Forsyth. The services will be conducted by Rev. C. L. Bell of Decatur. The interment will be in the Boiling Springs cemetery. Decatur Review (Decatur, Illinois), Sunday July 14, 1918
