He was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Fred Adams, Jr., and Mrs. Catherine Adams in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
"Papa," as he was affectionately called, was a member of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He graduated from Wartrace High School in 1973. He was employed over 20 years at APAC Construction.
