Wayne was later joined by his four siblings, Sandra, Glenn, Valeria, Diane. (Glenn and Diane have preceded him in death.) He was a good big brother! They lived a poor but happy life on a farm outside of Shelbyville, TN.
Wayne graduated from Wartrace High School where he was very studious. He was the only student, other than Mr. Johnson, who carried a briefcase. From high school, he left for the Air Force. This took him to a different world than home and he returned a changed man.
After service, he lived in Philadelphia and became father to one son, Nakia Baskerville. Though happy to be a father, he lost contact over the years with his son who traveled with his mother in the military.
Wayne was known for being "different" but in truth, he was ill. He embraced all he met with a smile. He had a generous spirit and could talk for hours.
Wayne was self sacrificing and with no hesitation would put the needs of others before his own. Some of his favorite pastimes was his music, talking on his CB or Facebook, fishing and his many dialogs about life.
Wayne's life ended May 21, 2016. He wished for all people to get along. Let us live his wish, today and always.
Wayne is survived by his two loving sisters, Sandra Tillman (Ronald), Valeria Adams-Smith; his son, Nakia Baskerville; grandmother, Elizabeth Robinson; niece, Miia Smith; nephews, Dominic Tillman, Nickolas Smith, Darien Smith; uncle, Clifford Robinson; aunt, Mary Brown, three great nephews and a host of cousins and close friends.
Per his request, he was cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
