Circus Performer. At the time of his death, he was credited with being the smallest man in the world. He was 28 inches tall, and weighed 40 pounds. He was brought to the United States in 1881 by the Barnum and Bailey Circus, and traveled most of his life with shows. He appeared before all the crowned heads of Europe, and appeared and performed in all the big museums and circuses in Europe.
