The body was brought to Toulon where funeral services were conducted at H. E. Kidd’s funeral home at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Thomas Spencer, pastor of the West Jersey M. E. church, was in charge of the service.
The body was taken Monday to Tallula, Illinois, where interment was made beside her husband and two children.
Cora White Sanders, daughter of James and Emma Atchley, was born August 11, 1886, near Campbellsville, Kentucky, and passed away at East Moline hospital, where she had been a patient for the last few weeks. Mrs. Sanders was the youngest of a family of twenty-three children, the oldest of whom is still living in Kentucky.
She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Sanders, October 23, 1901, and to this union were born seven children, two daughters and five sons. Two sons preceded her in death 16 years ago at Tallula, Illinois.
She is survived by five children: Charles Sanders, Raymond Sanders and Henry Sanders, at home; Mrs. Freeda Leadley, of Wyoming, and Mrs. Bertha Wilkins, of LaFayette. Her husband preceded her last June. She also leaves five grandchildren and a nephew, Lee Atchley, at Loami, Illinois, the latter of whom was raised in the home until he grew to manhood.
