She was born Oct. 16, 1928 in Genoa, the daughter of John D. and Thelma (Crawford) Corson. She married Ronald L. Thompson at the Federated Church in Sycamore.
She attended the United Methodist Church of Sycamore and was a 15-year member of the TOPS club in Sycamore.
She was a lifelong resident of the Genoa-Sycamore area and farmed with her husband in Sycamore since 1951.
She is survived by her husband of Sycamore; one son, Richard (Marcia) Thompson, of Cortland; two daughters, Shirley (Thomas) McCabe, of Sycamore, and Janis (Rick) Perkins, of DeKalb; five grandchildren; four brothers, John (Eunice) Corson, and James (Marie) Corson, both of Kingston, George Corson, of Genoa, and Paul David "Pete" (Charlene) Corson, of Minnesota, one sister, Barbara Nelson, of Hollendale, Wisc., numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda; her grandson, Jason; her parents and one brother, Chuck.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Sycamore, with the Rev. C. Alfred Patten officiating. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Butala-Van Natta Funeral Home in Sycamore.
