HUSBAND: Joseph Butler
SIBLINGS: Sarah Wooley Hiller / Mary Wooley Duncan / Hannah Wooley Losee / Charlotte Wooley Newton / Martha Wooley Butler / Guly Elma Wooley Germond / Catharine Wooley Russell
Anor married Joseph Butler after the death of his first wife, Anor's older sister Martha. After the death of her husband, she lived with her nephew John Wooley Russell. She had helped care for John after the death of his 18 yr old mother Catherine, Anor's youngest sister, from childbirth complications. The Chestnut Ridge Friends Burial Ground cemetery is adjacent to the Butler farm and across the road from the Russell home.
The following was taken from a handwritten brief by George Losse, son of Hannah Wooley and nephew of Anor, given to his grandson Lewis Bouton -
"My mother's ancestors came from Rhode Island. Her father's name was Esek Wooley and her mother's name was Martha Soule. I remember them well. Grandfather was a farmer and owned one of the nicest little farms in Dutchess County, and for his time was a very successful fruit raiser. He was also a tailor by trade in his younger years. They had seven children, all daughters, all of whom were married and with one exception lived to old age."
