She was born Feb. 10, 1920, on the family farm near St. Lucas, daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Kuennen Wurzer. On June 24, 1941, she married Carl Nickolas Kuehner at St. Luke's Catholic Church, St. Lucas. He died in 1996.
Mrs. Kuehner received her education at St. Luke's School, St. Lucas. She and her husband farmed near Lawler, retiring in 1983. She was a founding member of the Friends In Council and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survived by: three sons, Lauren (Linda) and Daryl (Bonnie), both of Lawler, and Leon (Linda) of Hampton; two daughters, Carlene (Jim) Luense of St. Ansgar and Diane Kuehner of New Hampton; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Kuehner Arndt of Lawler; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Adrian Wurzer of Texas, Greg Wurzer of Rockford, Ill., Ed Wurzer of West Union and Ken Wurzer of St. Lucas; and four sisters, Emma McGrath of California, Antonia Kipp of Denver, Iowa, Elaine Collins of Decorah and Jeanette Cole of Kentucky.
Preceded in death by: a son, Eugene; and three brothers, Florian, Edgar and Clem Wurzer.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the church, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
