Obituary for Robert G. "Bob" Cronan

Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Robert "Bob" G. Cronan, 71 will be held Monday, March 13, 2006 at 3pm in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

Visitation will be Sunday from 10am-10pm with a vigil at 6pm with a rosary to follow. Visitation will continue Monday at 8am until time of service.

Mr. Cronan was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He attended Immaculate Seminary in Lafayette & Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, he proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1958 where he was stationed at Asmara, Eritrea, Africa and was a Army Security Agent, he also worked for the Borden Company. In 1968 Mr. Cronan taught at Kinder High School. He taught English, French, and was a Guidance Counselor. He was also the Principal at Kinder Elementary & Kinder Middle School. Mr. Cronan was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he was a lector, member of the Choir, religion teacher, Knights of Columbus & VFW. He died Saturday, March 11, 2006 in his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Billy Anderson Cronan of Kinder; sisters, Rosemary Hamilton of Kinder and Joetta Cronan Guillory of Lake Charles; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and friends throughout the country.
