Funeral rites were conducted Monday morning at 9:30 at St. Michael's church in Buckman for Mrs. Anna Meyer, 68, who passed away at St. Gabriel's hospital last Thursday. Fr. Kunkel officiated at the rites and interment followed in the Buckman cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kilian Zenner, Tony Sitzman, Hugo Dorn, Conrad Kapsner, William Pohlkamp, and Joe Kappes, Sr.
Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Wm. Pohlkamp, Mrs. Joe Kappes, Sr., Tillie Schirmers, Mrs. Mary Mueller, Mrs. John Schmolke, and Mrs. Carl Przybilla.
Mrs. Meyer, born at Two Rivers, July 24, 1885, was admitted to the hospital ten days ago. Anna Opatz attended the Two Rivers school and married John Meyer at the North Prairie church January 28, 1908. She lived at her present home in Buckman the past 11 years.
Surviving are 6 children: Nick, Frank and John, Minneapolis; Joe, California; Mrs. Ray Kappes (Elizabeth), St. Cloud; and Edward, Buckman.
Mrs. Meyer was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Michael's church for many years.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Peter and John Opatz, Bowlus; Tom, Opole; Frank and Joe, St. Paul; and Alois, California.
