Alexander L. Wend, St. Charles, Michigan, passed away suddenly Monday afternoon at Saginaw Veterans Administration Hospital. Age 69 years. He was born April 20, 1898, in Corunna, MI. He married Delilah Betka in Detroit, April 7, 1945. She survives him. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired machinist. Surviving besides his wife are three brothers and three sisters, Henry Wend and Mrs. Sophia Hodges, both of Detroit; Costic and Theodore Wend, Mrs. Michael Rogers and Mrs. Helen Mansfield, all of St. Charles. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Kendall Funeral Home St. Charles. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
