Dorla Jean Culver, 72, of Eugene and formerly of La Grande died Feb. 12. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday Feb. 17 at the Summerville Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the New Life Center, 10700 Walton Road.

Mrs. Culver was born April 13, 1933, to Arthur and Ada Sinclair Whiteman in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School and married Larry Culver. She was a homemaker and lived in La Grande almost all her life. She enjoyed crafts, making clothes for children, telling stories, fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms and huckleberries, a good practical joke and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include children, Lara Nicoson of Pleasant Hill, Michael Culver of La Grande and Donna Miller of Missouri; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; siblings, James, Edward and David Whiteman, Betty Kimball and Linda Rysdam, all of La Grande, and other relatives. Her husband and three sisters, Donna, Nancy and Jenny, all died earlier.

Memorials may be made by the New Life Center in care of Major Family Funeral Home, 112 N. A St., Springfield 97477.
