Mrs. Culver was born April 13, 1933, to Arthur and Ada Sinclair Whiteman in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School and married Larry Culver. She was a homemaker and lived in La Grande almost all her life. She enjoyed crafts, making clothes for children, telling stories, fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms and huckleberries, a good practical joke and being with her family and friends.
Survivors include children, Lara Nicoson of Pleasant Hill, Michael Culver of La Grande and Donna Miller of Missouri; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; siblings, James, Edward and David Whiteman, Betty Kimball and Linda Rysdam, all of La Grande, and other relatives. Her husband and three sisters, Donna, Nancy and Jenny, all died earlier.
